Wine experts recommend three different serving temperatures for enjoying wine. These three ranges of serving temperature are set for Red, White, Champagne/Sparkling and Dessert wines.  The recommended temperature for Red Wine is often listed as "room temperature" or 58-65  F., a good temperature inside castle walls but most modern homes are much warmer than that. White wines are most frequently served at "cellar temperature" 48-58  F. Champagne and Sparkling wines are served cold or iced to 40-45  F. and Dessert wines 51-65  F.
